As someone with a PhD in kinesiology (exercise science) and who's been a personal trainer for 20+ years I know exactly what it takes to optimize physiological function, fitness, and mental function. Throughout these decades I’ve also spent countless hours exploring every known spiritual practice and religious text book I could get my hands on. As a result, I’ve learned how the mind, body, and spirit are inexplicably connected.
This book Mind, Body, Spirit - Redefined: Part 1 represents a culmination of two very specific life journeys I have been blessed to have had. One is the experience and journey involving my physical training, kinesiology education, and all of the training methods that accompanied it as laid out in my book Movement Redefined and Movement Redefined Fundamentals.
The other is my spiritual journey that not only gave me greater insight and understanding for my own spiritual walk but one that was actually pivotal to my exercise science journey. In fact, my spiritual awakening gave me greater insight into the exercise science methods and protocols so much so that it is difficult to explain the science around my training methods without viewing them from a spiritual lens.
It is my hope that by sharing my journey as related to these topics, the reader will gain greater insight spiritually and physically as they relate to faith and exercise science respectively.
